Called to Serve

Week 15

100 days!

Guten Tag!! We made it 100 days! Or, almost. 100 days tomorrow. But still 99 days of being a missionary and it has been such an amazing adventure. This week was filled with lots of appointments, and only 2 were canceled! (That’s pretty good) It was great seeing some of our regular friends as well as some newer ones. We have one new friend who volunteers at a second hand shop on Mondays so we try and stop by every week to see him.

Week 14

Another long Tausch

Guten Tag!! This week my companion had to go to Munich for 2 days for a leadership meeting so I was back with the Gerasdorf Sisters, one of them being my MTC comp Sister McArthur! We had an awesome time together eating lots of good food and getting lots of good things done. But, it was still nice getting to go back to my apartment with Sister Halterman at the end of the Tausch, by now it really feels like home.

Week 13

Begin the Second Transfer

Guten Tag! This week has been soooo busy, as weeks while I’m a missionary often are. It began with transfers though, a very exciting and also sad time. It was sad to say goodbye to so many of my new friends (a goodbye that included going to an amusement park), but it was also super exciting to meet all the new people in my zone that I would be working with!

Week 12

A Wedding!

Guten Tag! This week has been so busy and full of service, it has been amazing! Some of the projects we were able to help with include: making dinner for the institute class, assisting with food prep for a soup kitchen for Ukrainian refugees, helping a member take out her old flooring and bring it to the dump, and – the most exciting one– we were able to help out at a Polterabend for a couple in our ward that was getting married!

Week 11

Zone and Mission Conference!

Guten Morgen! This past week has been super exciting! It started Thursday morning when we had to get up at 4.30 to catch a train from Vienna to Munich. There we had Zone Conference with our mission President and his wife, it was awesome. Then we stayed the night in a youth hostel and got up at 5.45 to take a bus from Munich to Zurich where we would have Mission Conference.
