Servus!!
This week we did a lot of finding, but it was so good! Especially on my exchange with Sister Edwards. We got together after the Meet the Bates Conference we had in Salzburg and spent pretty much the entire 24 hours together finding. We had one appointment with an old lady who is hilarious, but then did a mix of street finding, door knocking, and texting people on Facebook. We were able to give out several Book of Mormons and have a bunch of really great conversations! I’m hoping the people we spoke with will continue to have interest. It was also fun to hang out with Sister Edwards, I hadn’t seen her since Burgdorf.
It was also great to finally meet the Bates in person and chat with them. Funny story, when our companionship was called back for the interview, we couldn’t find the room they were in and hadn’t really been able to explore the building before. So, we starting calling out “Marco?” until we heard a quiet “Polo!” to the left. We found them and were able to start out with a laugh since they said it took them a moment to figure out what we were doing.
Last week for P day we had a water balloon fight and had a party in the evening that 100 people came to! Lots of friends, members, and missionaries. Had a lot of fun that day and a little bit of a tan.
Last bit of news, our new member got the priesthood this week! It was a surprise to us and he also must not have known it was that week since he left early and we had to call him and ask him to come back. It all worked out though and he gave us a dessert that he had made. (It was really good)
