Servus!!
Another week done, it this one was awesome! We were able to do 6 appointments with friends where a member was also there – in this mission that is a lot. We have had members inviting our friends to our meal appointments as well as asking for their numbers so they can chat more later, it’s literally been a dream. Unfortunately some of our most awesome members are going on vacation this week, but I’m excited to keep working with them all when they get back.
We also met with one of our members non-member kids for the first time this week and it was such a fun appointment! She has a teenage daughter and a teenage son, and I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. Her daughter needed help coming up with a character for an improv club she joined, and so we practiced acting out different top models, sassy grandmas, and indifferent Europeans to give her some ideas. All the different people I have met on my mission definitely came in clutch as I tried to channel my inner old lady and other characters.
We also made good use out of the bikes this week and got ice cream sundaes to celebrate my 15 month mark on the mission.
