Servus!!
It has been quite the crazy week getting this area ready to work. Thankfully, the ward really has been such a big help! From making sure we have plenty of chocolate, eggs, and mashed potatoes to helping us go through a list of all the members and giving us a rundown of the who’s who and what’s what. They have also driven us to appointments, helped us with our bikes, and made us feel more than welcome with appointments every day. They are very very happy to have Sisters again and I am so excited to serve here!
My new companion, Sister Martin, has also been amazing. She is really hardworking and funny and we get along really well. She has made it bearable as we have been struggling to go through our area book and find who we can teach as well as cleaning up the apartment after Elders lived there.
We were talking to the senior missionaries in charge of our apartment and they said that our apartment should be “a holy place”, and clearly that means something else for Elders. It did get me thinking about if my home base is a holy place. Not just our apartment, but my desk, my bed, my thoughts. The things that I turn to at the end of a long day, do they point me towards the Savior? There are lots of varying answers to that question, and it has definitely prompted me to set some goals for what I can work on in my life to help me live in a holy place.
I miss Sister Gladwell and all the pudding we eat, but I am excited to be back in Wien Zone and look forward to the adventure that these last few transfers of the mission will bring! I hope you all celebrated Easter and were able to take some time to ponder on the Savior and his sacrifice for us. Have a great week!
Liebe Grüße, Sister Tripp
