Servus!
This week was another one full of miracles! Despite more than 5 appointments being canceled, a lot of great work was done.
We were able to set a baptismal date for one of our friends for later this month, it is so exciting that she has chosen to make this covenant! We had an amazing appointment with her and a member of the ward about the gospel of Jesus Christ and it was so cool to hear the testimony that she has developed– and to see just how excited she is to be able to baptized correctly after growing up Catholic.
We also had a really interesting experience Thursday night. We were having our usual lesson with a couple of our friends in the church building. We were reaching the end of our Book of Mormon study, when we hear a knock on the classroom door. Confused, we open it up to find a woman we have never met on the other side. She says she found the building in Google maps when she searched churches nearby and, for some reason, it said it was open during this time. She asked if we could pray with her. Unsure exactly what to do, we invite her to come in and join us as we finish the lesson. At the end we pray together and our friends leave while we talk with this woman. We find out she is pretty new in Augsburg and she wants some spiritual guidance. We proceeded to show her a Book of Mormon and explain a little to her, handing her the copy, as well as inviting her to join us at church on Sunday. She thanks us profusely and promises to be there. We chat a little longer before seeing her out so we could lock up. I am so grateful that God led her there, and that we had happened to leave the front door unlocked that day. That was a miracle that I can’t wait to see unfold.
I hope you all are doing well, staying healthy and seeing miracles! Until next week!
Liebe Grüße, Sister Tripp
