Servus!!
Today marks exactly one year since I started my mission journey with home MTC – something absolutely crazy to think about! To have spent the last 12 months of my life serving the Lord is such a blessing and I am grateful for the opportunity. I am also beyond excited for the next 6 months of continued service.
This week, we had many fun adventures, but my favorite thing that happened has got to be when one of our friends of the church accepted the invitation to be baptized! In just under three weeks, she will be taking this next valuable step and I am so excited for her and I am grateful for the opportunity to help and support her in making this covenant with God.
A second close favorite would be a discussion I had with a woman on the street just yesterday. She was searching for a church and had been since she moved to Germany 3 years ago. She agreed to us meeting as well as said she would love to come to church, and bring her family with! It’s not often that I get to talk to people who are so diligently searching for truth on the street, and I hadn’t had a good conversation like that in a long time. It really was a miracle that I ran into her.
It is the experiences like these with people that are just trying to find Christ that make my mission. They are why I am here. I am here to help those stressed moms, the struggling teenagers, the older women with health issues, and as many children of God as possible find peace in their lives and their specific circumstances. Because it is possible through Christ! Because of Him, we can change and others can change. Death is not the end. Trials do not define us. We can become stronger. We can become like Him. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who sent His Son to save us, because He has saved me. Time and time again, I have been able to turn to my Savior and find refuge and strength, even when I feel like there is nothing that can be done. And He will always be there, for me and for you!
I am grateful I can share my testimony with people everyday and help bring some light into their lives. I hope you all can find the opportunity to do the same!
Have a wonderful week!!
