Servus!
The temperature has dropped back down this week, we are staying in the negatives and there is plenty of ice and snow to show for it. This means wearing no less than 3 lagers and really praying that there is no wind – the wind kills.
Being outside in freezing weather isn’t everybody’s thing, it’s certainly not mine, but apparently there are plenty of Germans who think differently so we did spend 3 straight hours at an Ausstellung in Ingolstadt in the snow. Even still, we were able to talk to a bunch of people about the gospel. When we were about 2 hours in and my toes couldn’t take it anymore, we decided to take a short break and check out a nearby cathedral– honestly not a whole lot warmer, but it wasn’t actively snowing or windy in there.
We thought we were taking a break, but God didn’t think so! As we are pushing the door open a man kinda yelps in surprise from the other side, he was just about to leave when we opened the door. Without a whole lot of effort on our part, we strike up a conversation about where we are from, what we are doing here, and, what he was most interested, why we were out here doing what we are doing. It was awesome to see how much interest he had when we met so accidentally. It shows me how even though I thought we were doing something else, God has a way of getting us where we need to be – even if it means freezing our toes off.
In other news, my comp and I are both feeling better! Which is good since we have a pretty crazy week ahead of us. Let’s go!
Have a great week!
Liebe Grüße, Sister Tripp
