Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the new year, and I wish you all the best of luck with all your new resolutions! It seems a little silly sometimes, but setting goals really does help us improve – something I have learned a lot more about on my mission. We need to set goals, and high ones, that will help us stretch and become the person God knows we can be.
“Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness; For the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward”
- Doctrine and Covenants 58:27-28
So, choose some good goals this year! And don’t feel limited by the new year, or if you don’t succeed. Just keep setting goals, reaching for them, and improving. If you need suggestions, I am happy to share some ;)
I have got quite a few goals, one of which is to complete a 47 day German study challenge that the mission is doing. It involves 30 min reading, 30 min listening, and 30 min of grammar every day. Wish me luck!
Fun stuff we got to do over the holidays though: We went and visited Ulm last pday to play a Zone versus Zone soccer game (that we won) and visited the tallest church in the world. Had lots of good food, and lots of hot chocolate and tea. Most importantly though, we made some fire breakfast burritos. (Also tried alcohol free rosé, didn’t love it) We watched some fireworks from our balcony at midnight. And we got to walk all over Augsburg visiting people, saw lots of cool stuff. We had a chalk Ausstellung in Augsburg! It was a lot of fun and we had a ton of success, we found many new people that were interested in the gospel! Also, we learned that our AP Elder Barker is quite the artist. And we had interviews with President!!
