Servus!!
We had an amazing week here, celebrating Christmas many times over. The weekend kicked off with a caroling Ausstellung in München, it was an absolute blast! About half of the Zone of missionaries would stand and sing (all the Christmas songs in the German hymnbook, then switch to the English and go through them again) while the other missionaries went through the crowd of people that stopped to film or listen and chatted with them about Christmas and Jesus Christ. We had a ton of success and a lot of fun.
Afterwards, all the Sisters went back to one of the church buildings in München to watch the first Presidency Christmas Devotional (absolute fire) and have a Secret Santa gift exchange. We then headed home to rest up for the beginning of the 3 holidays that Christmas is here in Germany.

December – Heilige Abend We had a relaxing morning with studies and a video call with a friend before going to the Christmas markets to street find one last time before they closed. We also got to try roasted chestnuts for the first time, not my favorite, but worth a try. Then we headed to an awesome member appointment to celebrate with a traditional dinner along with presents from the Christkind.

December – 1st Weihnachten We made a French toast casserole and fancy hot chocolate to relax while opening the presents we got from family, members, and friends. Then we got dressed in our dirndls and headed to church (we sang during sacrament meeting too). After, we went home with a member family where we once again stuffed ourselves. We also got to go see a free nativity display that was cool.

December – 2nd Weihnachten The end of the holiday weekend. We started with a brunch with another member and her daughter before coming having district council and then going back to our apartment to relax – this was because our next appointment canceled. Sadly, since it was still a holiday, everything was closed, no one was out, and it would have been impolite to interrupt people’s days, so we did some solid planning for the week.
Overall, an awesome weekend that gave us an opportunity to focus on Jesus Christ. It was also pretty nice to take it easy for a few days. Hopefully you all had a holiday that spurs you to sing, “Joy to the world, the Lord us come. Let earth receive her king”. I am so grateful for the gift we have received that is Christ.
Have a wonderful week, and ich wünsche euch einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr!! Bis 2023 :)
