Servus!

I’ve now been in Augsburg for about 3 weeks, and this one was the best one yet! We had a lot to do, but it all turned out really well.

We had a bunch of appointments with members and friends, and a couple of breakthroughs were made! We had another appointment with one of our friends who wasn’t making a ton of progress, so we went back to the basics of faith and read Alma 32 together. She started thinking about it, and she started to understand that since she has the desire to have faith, all she needs to do is nourish that desire through the small acts of prayer and scripture study, and then it will grow! It really put into perspective a chapter I recently read in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 14. It talks about how we must preach the gospel in a language people understand for the edification of all, rather than in tongues that people don’t speak. I learned that it is not only speaking about different languages, but also in the way we talk about things, it needs to match the people we are speaking with. Also, I learned that God inspires us so we know what to teach, even when we don’t know the people very well.

Christmas is coming soon, I am super excited! There is currently still snow and it is cold, we had our ward Christmas Party (where we got the fun hats), we celebrated Sister Piippo’s birthday, we have gotten many presents for ourselves and others, and we have a wonderful week planned ahead of us. I hope you all have a wonderful time as well, until next week!

Liebe Grüße, Sister Tripp
