Grüessech mitenand!!
I hope you have all had a nice calm week, I’m not sure if I can say that I have. It was still pretty nice, and there were some calm parts, but this last week has turned some things on their heads.
Basically, the news is that Sister Clark is going home on Friday. She has some health issues that need to be resolved at home – and we are not sure if she will come back out. This means that I am left alone, so lonely. But that isn’t allowed by mission rules, so I will be spending the weekend with Sister Nielsen and Sister Gladwell in Biel, until next Monday when my new comp comes. Then we have a week and a half until transfers, still don’t know what is happening then.
There have been lots of phone calls made and plans changed, but it is for the best. We have really had a great time together. A lot of good stuff this past week too, we visited Kambly’s cookie shop and ate many free samples, we had Stake Conference and sang in our stake choir, we had interviews with President, we had a Tausch with Biel, and we made some crazy soup with our district (laksa soup?).
Through all of this though, I have been studying God’s love for us and I think it has really turned out to be very timely. During my studies I read a bunch of talks by general authorities, but there is a quote from one by President Monson that I would like to share:
“your Heavenly Father loves you—each of you. That love never changes. It is not influenced by your appearance, by your possessions, or by the amount of money you have in your bank account. It is not changed by your talents and abilities. It is simply there. It is there for you when you are sad or happy, discouraged or hopeful. God’s love is there for you whether or not you feel you deserve love. It is simply always there.”
I have really found this to be true, God’s love is infinite, beyond comprehension, and simply always there for us. I hope you all understand this principle, it can really change lives to know that you are loved.
Let me know what you are up to! And I hope you have a wonderful week!!
Liebe Grüße, Sister Tripp
