Guten Tag Familie und Freunde!!
With transfers, quite a bit has happened since my last email. First, we went to Grüner See on P-day as a last hurray before sending off all the missionaries going home or leaving the Zone. A very bittersweet morning, but that afternoon we got all the new missionaries, the most important being my brand new companion that I am training! Sister Nelson came in and she is just awesome, not to mention she grew up speaking German at home so she is cruising. She is from Utah, and conveniently, her sister is also here in Vienna on a study abroad for BYU! They have gotten to see each other a couple of times which is great.
We have kept pretty busy since the day she showed up with lots of appointments and activities as well as an Ausstellung down in Bruck an der Mur, a small town about 2.5 hours away. We have had a lot of success with our finding so far together, lots of books handed out and numbers exchanged. Hopefully we will see the fruits of our efforts in the next couple weeks as we try to meet with people again. We have already made one new friend who is very interested in having a the lessons and learning about the church – we have met with her once so far but we will meet with her again soon. I know as we keep working hard, the Lord will bless us for our efforts.
This past week, we have really been able to feel that it is summer with temperatures reaching the upper 30s (Celsius, so upper 90s Fahrenheit), but it is raining today so hopefully this next week will be more bearable. I wouldn’t mind not having sweat drip down my face and constantly having to wipe it away as I try and teach someone about the gospel.
Anyways, I hope you are all having a great summer!
Liebe Grüße, Sister Tripp
