Guten Tag!
This week has been soooo busy, as weeks while I’m a missionary often are. It began with transfers though, a very exciting and also sad time. It was sad to say goodbye to so many of my new friends (a goodbye that included going to an amusement park), but it was also super exciting to meet all the new people in my zone that I would be working with! Everyone has been so awesome and I’m excited for the next six weeks.
A new transfer also means new goals for me and my companion. These include going to bed on time, eating at least one vegetable a day, and helping my companion get ready to go home since this is her last transfer. It has already been one to remember though and I’m sure it will be amazing to the very end.
Something cool that happened this week was getting to see a man that we had only met once before and speaking with him about the gospel at a second hand store he volunteers at. He was super open and willing to have a discussion with us and he left with pamphlets for the first three lessons and the Book of Mormon with instruction to read as much as he can from all this before we see him again in a week. It was an amazing discussion that reminded me of why it is so important that I am out here. Even though a lot of things are hard and sometimes it feels like we are not making any progress or doing anything useful, when I have good solid experiences like this I know that every second of effort I put in is worth it. Missionary work is worth it!
Also, we got to go to the BYU Orchestra concert for free at one of the cool churches in town and it was amazing!
Love you all! Have a magnificent week :)
Liebe Grüße, Sister Tripp
