Guten Morgen!
This past week has been super exciting! It started Thursday morning when we had to get up at 4.30 to catch a train from Vienna to Munich. There we had Zone Conference with our mission President and his wife, it was awesome. Then we stayed the night in a youth hostel and got up at 5.45 to take a bus from Munich to Zurich where we would have Mission Conference.
Mission Conference was the coolest – Elder Uchtdorf (one of our modern day twelve apostles) came with his wife and some children and grandchildren!! Several of them spoke in German to us and it was amazing. Elder Uchtdorf was super personal and gave a great talk on being a Preach My Gospel missionary and focusing on your individual conversion so you have a rock solid foundation. We all took a picture together and each got to shake his hand. It was also really cool getting to see all the missionaries in this mission together, and meet so many of them!
Then we all bussed back to Munich where we stayed the night again before getting up at a normal time on Saturday to take a train back to Vienna. Overall a great trip that really kicked off a wonderful Easter weekend that consisted of meeting with lots of members and eating lots of sugar and carbs 😋. But also lots of really good discussions about the Atonement, something I absolutely love. I really am so grateful for the opportunity to be serving a mission and getting to talk to people about Christ everyday.
