Week 1

Starting Home MTC

Posted by Kezia Tripp on Saturday, February 12, 2022

Hello Everyone!

I finally started my mission! After getting set apart on Sunday night, I got up at 5:45a Monday morning to get ready for 7a class (get up and dressed, eat breakfast, and do 30 minutes of Daily Planning with my companion). Since I am working with the England MTC and we have people in my district from anywhere from Turkey to Utah, our classes are at weird times. So I have class from 7a-10a and 11a-2p then I spend my afternoons doing companion study, personal study, language study, and safety training – a lot of studying.

All the people I have met so far have been amazing! My companion, Sister McArthur, is from St. George, UT, and is only 5'3" but she is a super contagiously happy person. The rest of my district includes 4 other Sisters and 4 Elders and I have loved speaking with each of them. Our classes include a lot of humor and I am always engaged even though I yawn throughout the day. I am excited to see what the next week brings.

Tomorrow though, I will be giving my farewell talk at church and I hope some of you can watch. It will be at 9a MST on zoom: https://zoom.us/j/97459014342?pwd=OGREL0d1bWZWQnBnUThhMXVmUm4wQT09&fbclid=IwAR0q8z30jRGcfL8XZjGSIBon_plQZQHQUMDqmh0yFoo6vxd6A5wgaexFYrE#success I will also be performing a musical number if you want to watch just for that :)

I hope you all have a great week! I’ll work on remembering to take more pictures.
