Called to Serve

Week 60

Week 60 - Mini MTC

Servus! This week was a pretty wild ride. The weather swung from t-shirt to snowing, pretty unfortunate. There was also a Germany-wide transportation strike yesterday, no planes, trains, busses, boats, nothing. So we didn’t go very far. But, on Saturday, while everything was still running, we had the opportunity to help out with a stake youth Mini MTC activity that lasted all day. We led a roleplay workshop in the morning and after lunch we went street finding with the older youth.

Week 59

Week 59 - Live and Learn

Servus!! This week, we learned a really hard lesson. Our dear friend who was going to be baptized on Saturday, was not. She had been doing amazing – she successfully stopped drinking coffee (and the headaches stopped, too!) and did great in her baptismal interview. It was so cool to here her testimony and how much she had learned since she first got to know the church. Then, Thursday night, it all started to go down.

Week 58

Week 58 - The Disney Castle

Servus alle!! This week has been awesome. It started with a trip to the Neuschwanstein castle down near Füssen, and that was super xiol to see. That train ride back was a mess with a super long delay and an early termination in Bobingen, so we all had to get off and wait for the next train all the way to Augsburg. We had lots of excitement the rest of the week too.

Week 57

Week 57 -

Servus! This week was another one full of miracles! Despite more than 5 appointments being canceled, a lot of great work was done. We were able to set a baptismal date for one of our friends for later this month, it is so exciting that she has chosen to make this covenant! We had an amazing appointment with her and a member of the ward about the gospel of Jesus Christ and it was so cool to hear the testimony that she has developed– and to see just how excited she is to be able to baptized correctly after growing up Catholic.

Week 56

Week 56 - The Work Moves Forward

Servus alle!! This week, we had the amazing opportunity to plan and execute the baptismal service for our little friend. She really is the cutest and we are so proud of her for taking this step to baptism, as well as standing up before the ward to bear her testimony. It was a beautiful service and Taufe, and we were able to invite another one of our friends to come watch – this prompted her to tell us that she is so excited for her baptism as well.
