Called to Serve

Week 65

Week 65 - Midnight travels

Servus!! This week, we got the opportunity to go to Salzburg for Zone Conference! One of my favorite parts, as usual, was when President spoke about trials and judgement. He said that the difficulties and struggles we have help us strengthen and shape our souls and each person needs to be shaped differently. It is important that we don’t judge other people since we don’t know what their souls look like and what they need.

Week 64

Week 64 - sick

Servus alle! This week has been all over the place with tons of appointments with friends and members, but then also spending almost all of Saturday at home–alternating sleeping with eating and studies. This is because I have, unfortunately, been sick for the last couple of days. Thankfully, all that’s left of it is a sore throat, but it has definitely knocked us down for a little bit. We were still able to have some cool experiences, though.

Week 63

Week 63 - Mission Conference!!

Servus!! We have had such a hectic but spiritual and awesome couple of days. From delayed trains because of people on the tracks, to missed connections, canceled busses, standing room only for hours, and going to bed after 11, it was pretty exhausting. But every bit was worth it for the devotionals, testimonies, conference, and service. A large part of that is because of our guest speaker, Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles!

Week 62

Week 62 - The Adventure of Pink-Washing

Servus!! It has been quite the crazy week getting this area ready to work. Thankfully, the ward really has been such a big help! From making sure we have plenty of chocolate, eggs, and mashed potatoes to helping us go through a list of all the members and giving us a rundown of the who’s who and what’s what. They have also driven us to appointments, helped us with our bikes, and made us feel more than welcome with appointments every day.

Week 61

Week 61 - The Rains Came Down

Servus!! This week has been pretty cool, especially with General Conference this past weekend! It was so good to hear from our living prophet and apostles, and I am glad that several of our friends were able to watch it, too. It was just the pick me up we needed after what happened Friday… It started as a normal day. Actually, to preface, some of you probably already know that wind is my least favorite type of weather.
