Called to Serve

Week 75

Week 75 - 'Marco?'

Servus!! This week we did a lot of finding, but it was so good! Especially on my exchange with Sister Edwards. We got together after the Meet the Bates Conference we had in Salzburg and spent pretty much the entire 24 hours together finding. We had one appointment with an old lady who is hilarious, but then did a mix of street finding, door knocking, and texting people on Facebook. We were able to give out several Book of Mormons and have a bunch of really great conversations!

Week 74

Week 74 - Wholesome

Servus!! We have had a good week over here, other than the traumatizing experience of having to eat two hot dogs at 10am, not even two hours after eating a large breakfast. We had a successful language cafe with 5 whole people (that’s the most yet) that has prompted us to start a game night. We had transfers, so lots of sad goodbyes, but also meeting lots of new people.

Week 73

Week 73 - The Final Transfer

Servus!! This transfer ends today and then we are in the last one! Sister Knecht and I will be staying together, and I am excited to go out with a bang here in Wiener Neustadt. Some highlights from this week: Ridvan’s baptism!! Everything went so smoothly and he was so excited to take this step Biscoff milkshakes A solid Ausstellung on Graz, I was able to talk to lots of cool people Making lots and lots of cookies, with members and at home The Draper Philharmonic performance of King of Kings and Lamb of God (it was so amazing!

Week 72

Week 72 - Auf Keinen Fall

Servus!! This week I want to tell the story of one of our friends. Ridvan has been in Austria for about a year and is working on learning German, but it’s definitely a work in progress. Just a few months ago, he started messaging with some missionaries on Facebook, wanting to learn more about Jesus Christ. Eventually, his information made it to us and we brought a Book of Momon to him in his native language.

Week 71

Week 71 - No More Naatjes :(

Servus!! What a crazy week we have had over here! We had our last Zone Conference with President and Sister Naatjes, we even made a goodbye video for them and it was really sad. It was also really powerful with a focus on the Book of Mormon and how important it is in our lives. We had our last Q and A (when we can ask President anything and everything) and got to hear some amazing testimonies.
